David Howell, Belt Mount Earrings

Made in the late Antique/early Byzantine period, the late-fifth and early-sixth centuries, this piece has a heart shape and quatrefoil forms.  It would have been used to decorate and reinforce a belt.

Finish: Solid brass, electro-plated with matte gold finish, hand enameled, ear wires are gold plated
